Get to know SJO Volleyball Player Taylor Hug

What do you think makes the team so successful?

We have a lot of team chemistry and get along with each other well.

What is your favorite thing about volleyball and the team?

I love playing in a loud gym when our team is playing well and excited.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I get my hair braided by my teammate Peyton Williams before each match.

What has been the most important thing Coach McDonald has taught you?

She’s helped me learn the game of volleyball on a different level to be able to read the defense effectively, and has helped me grow as a leader on the team.

What is the most challenging part about playing volleyball at SJO?

SJO has been a very talented volleyball team for many years, so there are high expectations, and everyone opponent plays their hardest against us.
