This week we spoke to Matt Crider of Trinity Web Design and Consulting, LLC to ask him how he gets things done!
What is a typical morning like?
– on a good morning I get up early and spend time doing a bible study before getting ready for the day. I’ll look through my schedule to see what is on deck for the day and what needs to be done.
What keeps you motivated?
– I’m usually motivated by taking care of clients helping find solutions to web site and marketing issues.
How do you keep the pressures of running a business from getting to you?
– It’s not easy because my business is a side business. Sometimes I’m not able to put the time into it that I need to.
How do you make tough decisions?
– prayer and weighing out options
How do you unwind?
– Time with family and sometimes a good movie. 
What are you like as a boss/coworker?
– For my side business I’m self-employed so sometimes my boss can be a bit demanding. 
– At the church, I try to be productive while making time for building student and ministry relationships
What advice do you have for people in business?
– Don’t overload your schedule… things will fall through the cracks and work quality (no matter what you do) will suffer.
How do you set long-term and short-term goals for your job?
– you’re supposed to set long-term and short-term goals??
How important is it to find mentors?
– extremely important. We can all learn from those who have been through it before.
What is your philosophy on customer service and its importance?
– Customer service is so important. Without making customers happy, you have no business. This is the importance of prioritizing time and projects. If you’re overloaded, customer satisfaction declines which hurts the business. If you treat each customer like they’re your best customer, they’ll bring more customers.
