Live at Ogden Village Board April 1, 2021

The board paid some bills and decided to appoint Dekoda Burris to the zoning board of appeals.

Discussing the hold up on a project- the utilities aren’t being forthcoming about where their lines are buried.

Then northeast project is almost completed.

Interesting fact: This board could be totally different in May because Kelly, Jim Haan and Sonja are up for reelection.

They are discussing a subdivision now. Sonja asking how the zoning board could pass anything on the subdivision when they aren’t sworn in. But they were sworn in for their old positions, ect. Lawyer says its fine cause they are sworn in as members just changing positions.

It was approved in two parcels.

Discussing a quote to lift a water main.

Discussing the electronic collection event. They donated so if you are in Ogden you can drop your stuff off… after signing up probably.

Discussing Main Street project and how they are going to pay for it.
“There was a concern we have been spending a lot of money,” Acklin said. “And we have.”

Now discussing the Rail Trail. They want part of it asphalted like in St. Joseph. It is much, much easier to ride on the Asphalt. Just my take.
They are discussing what they want in their rail trail agreement. There was a small discussion about drainage.

Talking about the egg hunt. They have like 4500 eggs. They don’t want it advertised. Cause #covid.

Kelly discussing the festival. The insurance said they recommend the village go with the governors order and recommends they seek legal council to have it.

Discussing the usual “If people don’t want to come they shouldn’t come.”

Kelly pointing out cases are going back up and this probably isn’t a great idea.

It would be in late august.

Kelly said they will discuss it next month.
