Live at St. Joseph Village Board

I had to update zoom so I was late but they are doing investments now.

Discussing the Rebuild America Grant. They got a payment in May and in July. The Mayor said the May payment was probably a catch up.

St. Joseph is ahead in the census competition 83.6 percent of residents have completed their census. We are head of Mahomet and Savoy.

Fruhling-Voges discussing crossing guard pay. She believes the cost the village pays will be double.

FInance, Sewer, Buildings and Grounds and Parks has nothing to report. #nothinggoingon

Discussing food truck moratorium ordinance. #iwillgetacopy #maxpaintervotedno

Discussing the needle disposal boxes again. They want to prevent their workers from being stuck so they want to give village residents a way to dispose of their needles instead of flushing them. Davis stressing again that this is to keep their workers safe. The needle pickup container will be at village hall and residents can use it no questions asked.

They are hiring Richards Tree Service to take down two trees that are too big for the village workers to do.

Lawyer time- the county board committee are looking at the nominations for the DD6 commissioner position. BJ Hackler is the nominee. If he is approved than it moves on to the full county board meeting later this month. Another commissioner was renominated because his term was up. If they are approved the tile issue can be addressed and stuff can move forward with Trinty Acres and the former Abbeyfield. #thisislongerthanaminiseries

The school board is willing to sign the amendment to the easement and get it wrapped up if the commissioners are approved.

Super short meeting. It’s over.
