June 10, 2026 Local Stories in and Around St. Joseph, Illinois

Live at SJO school board, January 23, 2023

I am here until 8 p.m cause Matt has to go back into work.

They are discussing sports field placement again.

They are discussing the batting cage which was estimated to cost $80,000. #OMG #theyareshocked

Discussing turf colors. They have maroon end zones, maroon track, field outlined in columbia blue. They also have a black track, and a Columbia blue track with maroon endzones.

And yes, soccer will be played on the football field.

The track coaches don’t like the black track but it looks pretty cool.

Discussing waterlines now.
Now discussing parking lots and parking. 223 spaces planned. The aisles will be bigger.

Still talking about parking lots.

Activity bus purchase: nothing decided.
