Get to know SJO Volleyball player Peyton Williams

What do you think makes the team so successful?

I think what makes our team so successful is the determination and cohesiveness we have. we all play really well together and we are all in 100%.

What is your favorite thing about volleyball and the team?

My favorite thing about volleyball and the team is how we know when to be funny and joke but also when we need to be serious and locked in. we always share laughs at practice and games and it really shows who we are as a team.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Before every game I braid Shayne Immke, Addie Roesch, and Taylor Hug’s hair. Then after, Mikayla Haley braids mine.

What has been the most important thing Coach McDonald has taught you?

To never give up no matter when and that more is always possible. also, we can come back and we can get over obstacles.

What is the most challenging part about playing volleyball at SJO?

the most challenging part about playing volleyball at sjo is how many teams don’t like us since we’ve built such a good program and how high of standards we are held to. but, i wouldn’t want it any other way.
