The Heritage Post Prom committee wants is hoping one person’s junk is another person’s treasure.
On Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the bus barn at Homer
Elementary School more than six families have donated to a garage sale. All funds will go to the post prom committee.
“We would like to rate at least $500,” said organizer Jill Lawhead Miller.
Miller said she did a garage sale in 2017 to raise money for post prom and it was so successful she wanted to do it again.
“Post prom is important to provide the kids with fun activities to discourage them from looking for activities on their own after prom, which most likely could include drinking and parties,” Miller said. “Post prom offers the opportunity for all of the kids to do things together as a group instead of going off in their own cliches after prom.”
