Girl Scouts discuss their favorite cookies

It’s cookie time.
St. Joseph Girl Scout Troops were out last weekend in full force to sell delicious and tasty treats.


I asked area girl scouts to tell us what their favorite cookie and what they like about selling Girl Scout Cookies.


Maggie Jo, age 10
What is your favorite cookie? EASY!!! Thin Mints! ‘Cause they are so simple, but they’re so delicious, too. Oh, they’re Vegan, too!”

What do you like about selling cookies? I’d say the trips we get to go on when we raise enough money. We get to do really fun stuff. Like, go to the (Indianapolis) zoo

What is the hardest part about selling cookies? Getting your goal.

How many boxes would you recommend people buying? Three at the most.


Emma Wilson, age 8

What is your favorite cookie? S’mores

What do you like about selling cookies? I get to raise money for my troop.

What is the hardest part about selling cookies? Sometimes you don’t get a lot of customers.

How many boxes would you recommend people buying? All of them!

Reagan Smith, age 8 and Malayna Wilson, age 7
What is your favorite cookie? Savannah Smiles and S’mores

What do you like about selling cookies? Giving people the cookies.

What is the hardest part about selling cookies? Counting the money but it’s easier because we are learning coin counting in second grade!

How many boxes would you recommend people buying? Malayna- At least 1 to 5 boxes
Reagan- between 2-5 boxes

What is your favorite cookie? Savannah Smiles

What do you like about selling cookies? I like it because I am with the girls.

What is the hardest part about selling cookies? The coldness

How many boxes would you recommend people buying? 3

Audrie Helfrich, age 9
What is your favorite cookie? Samoas

What do you like about selling cookies? Hanging out with the girls

What is the hardest part about selling cookies? The coldness

How many boxes would you recommend people buying? 3 or 4

Sophie Schmitz, age 9
What is your favorite cookie? Thin Mints

What do you like about selling cookies? There are a bunch of girls that get to sell with us.

What is the hardest part about selling cookies? The coldness

How many boxes would you recommend people buying? 2 or 3

On Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Troop 2307 will be selling cookies at the St. Joseph IGA located at 205 N Main St in St Joseph, IL. If you can’t make the sale you can buy cookies from any Girl Scout. Boxes are $5 a piece.
